I am wondering if a first degree taekwondo black belt can take down ten people who does not know martial arts?

When I'm playing chess, advertisements appear at the top of my screen and it takes out the area at the bottom of my screen which stops me from being able to write my opponents. One of the advertisements is Globe Probe.

I heard an interesting fact once about where the phrase OK comes from.

Basically during the War (well a war but no too sure which one, would guess WW1) they used to keep a tally of the dead. They would chalk it up on a black board for all to see. If there were soldiers Killed that day then it would say 12 K, 22 K, 16 K or what ever. However if none were killed that day it would say 0 K so people would say that it is OK meaning knowbody died at least .

And that is where the phrase elegedly comes from.

Has anyone else heard this and do you belive it? Also does anyone have any other interesting facts like that?

This question is only for Geminis and Capricorns....

I want to know how Geminis get along with Caps and vice versa. Do these two signs bump heads alot? or do they work well together? According to the zodiac these two signs are not compatible....I want to know if that is accurate or not. I want people with experience on the matter to give me their honest thoughts on how the two get along. In friendship and in relationships.

For those of you who say :

My friend wants to go out of town with her husband to gamble with other couples. She doesn't trust her grown daughter to stay home alone and wants to secretly pay my daughter, who is four years older to keep her busy, go out to eat, go to movies etc. so that the kid won't end up doing drugs while mom is gone. We think if the kid was a real friend she would help my daughter get responsible things accomplished rather than be further behind from playing clown for a weekend. We decided against it because if the kid DOES get ahold of drugs or anything happens, they would all blame my daughter. Its their way, to blame others.
Should her mom and dad leave town if they are so worried for her welfare? Are we sorry friends? She has been missing for a week and a half and now been home for about a week. Suffers from siezures due to xanax abuse and is not allowed to drive. Mom gambles to get her mind off of kid when she won't call in and all mom can do is worry. Blame us when we've stayed

I work in a manufacturing building (we make rubber), and we have a pigeon problem. We currently use ultrasonic repellers, but they don't seem to work especially well. I'm currently trying to live-trap them and have the trap out to acclimitize them to it (it's open right now, I'll set it next week). Is there a particular type of bait that will work well? I'm using a mix of deer corn and wild bird seed, but I'm seeing other types of birds becides the pigeons.

Also, is there a company that sells spikes or netting at a low price? We have a very big warehouse, and it would cost thousands to put those up at the prices I found at bird-x.com.
