Spyware definitelty, I work as a consultant in a network security firm, and spyware is increasing more rapidly than virus. We haven't had any major virus outbreaks, but spyware is always out there, and the biggest complaint we have had from customers.

I do not know if I agree with this. I update the Bleeping Computer startup database (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups) and get a good idea of the amount of viruses (worms, backdoors, trojans, viruses) that are coming out compared to traditional spyware. I would say that the broad category of viruses has definitely a larger growth than spyware. Remember there is plenty of money to be made in viruses.

There are a ton of worms that and trojans that are used to steal banking/financial instituion information as well as use the infected computer for the writers own ends.

Spyware is increasing much faster than virus's as there is money to be made with spyware (not legally, of course).
