Sometimes i look at the persons profile. then i read the answers if there is a good answer i will vote on it . and move onto the next question . If i feel i can answer the question better then i will.

I rarely look at a profile - if I think I can contribute, I'll answer.
I only tend to avoid questions where...
* my answer would probably be the same as 20 others (like people asking for song lyrics)
* the question is an obvious troll (such as a lot of questions in the politics/ religion sections)
* the question is boring. For example, if it's a question that I've already answered about a dozen times. I'm usually in the camera section, where the same basic questions can pop up several times a week. There comes a point where answering questions starts to feel like work.
* someone else has provided a great answer. Then I'll just give those answers a thumbs up.
So that's quite a few things, but the profile isn't one of them.

I normally look at the profile and if there are no correct answers, or what I feel does not represent the question, I will answer. But, if there are correct answers, I'll go to another question.
