I guess my next question is why do people show that sign of all places, during a baseball or football game?

I live in a 100+ year old apartment building with 6 apartments, 2 per floor, everyone boxed in together. The whole building used to be one huge house but it was turned to 6 apartments many decades ago, before electrical heating existed. My downstairs neighbours are fierce noisy abominations who won't listen to diplomacy, and the landlord won't lift a single finger. Living in the apartment feel like an earthquake-ridden 24 hour construction site. When they "slam" their doors underneath us, the whole apartment shakes and rattles. In essence, when they talk, we can follow their converstations.

The soundproofing is total crap (if there at all) and the walls are plaster; the floors & ceilings are wood.

What's the cheapest, fastest, most economical way I can soundproof my apartment against the unbearable (and quite frankly unbelievable) amount of noise from downstairs & next door? No carpeting ideas please; my wife is totally alergic to all forms of carpeting.

I have kind of been seeing a girl for a few dates now, & 2 weeks ago she suggested we make it a bit more serious as a result she went in for the kill & i backed off. That night I told her that I do like her a lot but its happened all too soon & that we should take our time. Since that night she has refused to go out with me on 3 occassions although she still emails me @ work to ask about my day as well as last night texts in particular the last few weekends since that night. I know the girl likes me as she told me & although she was drunk when she said it I know she meant it by gut feeling. What should I do, as Ive given off signs that Im not that interested should I make a big effort to win her heart, wait for her to ask me out again as im sick of asking or just call the whole thing off?

okay c if you can follow along... miscarried on 7-20-06 went to er 2 1/2 wks later no hormones detected.. had sex on 8-13-06 period came on 8-20-06 went to the doctor on 8-24-06 preg. test neg. (urine). having preg. symptoms went to doctor on 9-11-06 preg. test done showed faint positive line (urine) did blood test still waiting on results.. went 2day had preg. test done came back neg. Hi, I'm planning a little--umm--'Party'. Bunches of questions here:

Could you please tell me what kind of privacy I might expect in a hotel (or motel) etc. if I want to have a with about 6-10 people. There will be drinks at the bar and porn on the tv and couple and triples laying around the room.

Do I have to tell the hotel I'm expecting guests? Or can they just drop in?

As long as we're quiet and respectful, we can do pretty much what we want behind closed doors, right?

Or do I have to worry about getting thrown out of the hotel (or even arrested) because the maid or the room service waiter saw something that they didn't like.

What's my best bet for getting the best room at the best rate? I expect to be hosting several events throughout the year in different areas.

Before I got married I lived with my now wife for 2 years -

When we got married I thought this will be no different - my friends told me it would be

It is but on a very subtle level I can't explain it

What I don't get is why the relationship hasn't changed as such but it's formal recognition seems to have an impact

What is the difference and why

Don't get me wrong I am very happy and all that but surprised the relationship seems to have undergone small but noticeable changes

My husband bought me a dog when we first got married, I loved this dog more than anything in the whole world..time passes me and hubby got a divorce and I moved.. that living situation didnt work out and I asked my Ex to take care of my dog for a few months for me (I knew he would take good care of her) anyways, I just found out that he gave Precious away! He gave her to his brother and his brother's wife -the wife, which hates me more than anyone on the face of the earth! What can I do? She was not a pure breed dog so I have no papers on her of that kind. I do have all my papers from vet visits with my name being on the reciepts as the owner. I also have TONS of picutres of me and her from the last 5 years. Do I have any legal rights or should I plot to steal her back? This woman never took care of her dogs and you could always see there rib cages. It is breakin my heart that my dog could possibly not be fed or showed the love she needs. Please just offer me your opinion... my heart is breaking! P.S. I'm married now and can provide her all the love and care she could ever need.

its been four days sence i threw a football to my nephew. the pain in my left arm will not stop. its around my elbow but its not the elbow that hurts its the muscles around it. its happen before but not this bad. the doctor says i should use it more and it will go away. i think hes crazy and he doesnt know how it feels. i am going back to him today . if he gives me the same answer i will go somewear else. is it the tendents causing this or what. i dont know . can someone please tell me whats wrong with my arm. last night i couldnt sleep .
