Hello, I’m asking this question to the guys….i just got out of a 4 yr relationship about a year and a half ago….I’m with this new guy who also went through the exact thing out of a 4 yr relationship. We have been together for 8 months, and live together. We love each other, but I’m wondering, why is it so hard for guys to open up…and how do they let you know they are in love with you, not only that they love you….but are really in love with you...what sign do guys do to let you know? And what type of girl is marriage material?

Well as a guy myself, I have to admit that i find it very hard to open up to anyone when it comes to issues of love that includes talking about it to my best mates! I think, like it is in my case that men act all macho but deep down we are scared of getting hurt & sometimes allow bad experiences to get in the way of opening up for the fear of rejection. As I appear to have the same problem as your b/f signs to see if they really love you, or what I look for in a woman, is all the little things, like the way they look @ you when they think you cant see, the brusing against you, making you a drink, running you a bath, telling you how good you look, asking how your day is. All little stuff, but as a man of man age its the little things in life that mean everything!

As for marriage material, i cant really answer that as Ive never meet a girl that i ever thought id marry however, suppose what i would look for that "spark" between the two of you. Do you still look @ you b/f, g/f & still get that original buzz, do you love him/her more than you did when you 1st meet?

You know 3-4 weeks ago I broke up because the girl was not good at being serious about me as a partner, not enouhg respect.
In the end I am 31 with no woman and pissed off.
A lot of guys get to the point where enough is enough and now its too hard to let the pain and suffering happen again. I dont know, it will take some serious time on your behalf and then hope that hes a good guy cos he might be crap. In the case of being right if he finds that there is something not quite right about you he will lose interest and then its destined to die. You got to be a woman who will just be with him as all he will want is the decency of being respected as somene important, just like you would, he also will like his opinions respected and definitly not undermined by the rest of your family or others.
If hes a good guy he will offer his respect and open up eventually but if you shtit in his face when he opens up he will back off. Thats what I have done too many times girl. I am hoping for your sake that all will be good because there is nothing bettr inlife than the fairytale ending, ....they all lived happily ever after.
Just dont go puttinghim down for what he believes in, that s really important to men, most men thrive on a bit of ego, but not too much ok. good luck

I think when you feel like you couldn't exist without the other person, you can't help but tell the other person how you feel.

But guys make mistakes too. Some people have reservations they don't know how to cope with and then regret it when that person is gone & tired of waiting for you to come around & appreciate them.

Guys are guys. We usually don't talk about things the same way women talk to each other and tell all kind of stuff.
