I have gas central heating, from a combi boiler. In summer I only use the central heating when required, but I leave the hot water switch on all day. Is this more cost effective that just switching on the hot water when I require it? Energy prices going through the damn roof!!!

I mean SERIOUSLY considering it, not just having a daydream that will never be acted upon. I mean with a timetable, gameplan
for transition to new job, or new job already a sure thing, and all that.
Personally, I'm quitting in 2 months, and not a soul has a clue here.
It's getting old for me, and the 60-hour-weeks are crazy. I'm
using it as an opportunity to move to a much more dynamic city in the sunbelt, and as far away from the midwest as I can get.
So, how about you folks? Finally had enough with your boss, feel
underappreciated and/or underpaid, had enough of people dumping on you, or poor pay?
I'm giving up a fairly decent paycheck, and don't care.
Enough is enough. SOmetimes its best to just quit, and have enough faith in yourself to succeed and thrive somewhere else.
Change is usually good, but we have to have the guts to leave.
Most people don't, and stay in dumped-on type jobs for years.
I hope you are not one of those people!

I am just asking this for all those people who hate Bush and thought that 9/11 was Bush's fault. So tell me did he have anythign to do with the highjackings and the terrorists over there or will it be another movie going around on the internet like the 9/11 movie ****. So I have a friend who is on medicaid. Actually it is his infant daughter who is. He works 60hr. weeks to support his family and cannot afford insurance. His wife stays home with the baby. Recently his In-laws and his wife have been pushing him to take the baby off of medicaid and just pay the bills himself. They feel that it is wrong to be on medicaid. Now some backgroung. they come from upper-middle whites. they are a poor young couple that can barely make their mortgage (hence the 60hr. weeks) this guy feels that if anything he deserves some help from the government. He works hard, is a good citizen, pays taxes. Should he accept help from medicaid or not?

The stomach is only the size of a fist, so why is it that we are continually pushed to consume larger sizes? It amazes me that the country hasn't done more about its epidemic with obesity. It's been a while since I was in grade school, and I am unwed with no children, but I was just curious if the schools today are teaching children better eating and physical activity habits. How though, can they compete with the glitz of advertising for super sized foods and new video games, encouraging them to engage in a sedentary lifestyle? It just saddens me to learn that our country's waistband is quickly expanding. Would love to hear your thoughts on this as well..thanks!

Ok, i've been driving since I was 17 and am now 30. I've always been insured on a car that I owned and I have always been the main driver. 4 Years ago I put my husband on the insurance. We were insured for 2 years on 2 different cars until 18 months ago I got a loan car from work. I have since handed it back (2 weeks before it went back some bugger hit me). When I've gone to insure my new car (owned by me, me main driver, his named), I HAD NEVER CLAIMED AND YET they tell me I only have 4 yrs no claims??? Is there any way I can get that back? And why is it that when I had the one claim (I was talking about earlier) when some bloody unknown smacked my car, (I have no claims pretection), my premiums still go up??
