I mean SERIOUSLY considering it, not just having a daydream that will never be acted upon. I mean with a timetable, gameplan
for transition to new job, or new job already a sure thing, and all that.
Personally, I'm quitting in 2 months, and not a soul has a clue here.
It's getting old for me, and the 60-hour-weeks are crazy. I'm
using it as an opportunity to move to a much more dynamic city in the sunbelt, and as far away from the midwest as I can get.
So, how about you folks? Finally had enough with your boss, feel
underappreciated and/or underpaid, had enough of people dumping on you, or poor pay?
I'm giving up a fairly decent paycheck, and don't care.
Enough is enough. SOmetimes its best to just quit, and have enough faith in yourself to succeed and thrive somewhere else.
Change is usually good, but we have to have the guts to leave.
Most people don't, and stay in dumped-on type jobs for years.
I hope you are not one of those people!

I have been fed up for the last 8 months, not just with my job but the whole industry (I have been a teacher for the last 12 years).

Yesterday I finally handed in my resignation, and in 2 weeks I embark on a new career in Sales and Marketing. I am going from a job with a secure pay check (albeit very crappy money) to a job which I have no experience in and which is paid on a commission only basis.... am I petrified? YES .... Am I excited? YES..... However, I am putting my whole faith in myself and my ability to succeed taking on this new career.... but I know it is a stepping stone, as I can work my way through the company into management, with the opportunity to earn $150 000 per year... it is only myself who can limit my potential to get to this stage!

So I think it is safe to say, in answer to your question, that I am not one of those people!!

Today is my last day at my job. I told my boss 2 weeks ago and I am sure he is not thrilled about it. But, I was hired as a designer and i am doing 75% reception work. There is no room to grow here and i am glad i only have one more hour left. It wasnt easy finding a new job but well worth it. Plus, I make a hell of a lot more money with benifits at my new job. I hope you get the chance or already did the same. IT FEELS GREAT!!!!!

I am just working out my notice of resignation and start a new job in 2 weeks, and am elated

I have been looking since January, only took six months to find what I was looking for wwithout having to compromise because of necessity

I think its great you have a vision, and with 2 months to go, you should be able to line up a job before you leave the old one.......I do hope you are going to have a plan, I have seen way to many people think its easy to get another job, quit one and then stand in line at Salvation Army for a warm meal.......

planning is everything.....don't forget, you usually only hear about the success stories, not many people brag about standing in line at Salvation Army

Good Luck

Most jobs are dumped on types. For me, the winter is the busy season so stress is high. Summer is slow and boring. I am treated like gold in the summer and dumped on in the winter. Oh well, the pay is decent and jobs are hard to come by (in this area).

Hope your venture turns out great! I have been there and done that but now I just want stability in my life.
