Because she did die and it's a senseless tragedy regardless of what might have been.. For what it's worth you could be right but to be strangled and raped in your basement at age six while a clueless police department takes hits and leads from your media whore parents who probably did it to you is always sad and awful... It's worth crying over, and her parents committed the perfect crime and won't answer for it until their judgment day.

Now some sicko is trying to pretend he did it, and the real killer has another five minutes of fame where he gets to pretend he's mourning his daughter and his partner in crime, his wife.

Ignorant.

Being in child beauty pageants does NOT mean one will turn out to be like Paris Hilton! First of all, John Ramsey doesn't have the money that Mr. Hilton does, so Jonbonet [sp?] could not have supported herself, financially, in the way that Paris Hilton does.

Secondly, as much as some of us find beauty pageants distasteful at least Patsy was involved in her daughter's life. I think the Hilton's just gave birth to Paris and handed her over to strangers to raise! Now her [Paris's] parent's only seem to come around when it is time to bail her out of a jam. Such as when they were going to release her sex film.

I have no idea who killed that little girl and I don't pretend to know. However, comparing an innocent child, who was brutally murdered, to the likes of Paris Hiltong is just about one of the cruelest things I have seen on Yahoo Answers.

That is a little cruel.

First, her parents are well off -- but they don't have the Hilton money -- so she wouldn't be likely to turn into a celebutante.

Second -- while I am not a fan of beauty pageants there are some talented & worthwhile people who came out of the pageant system -- like Dianne Sawyer for example. She is no Paris Hilton!

Umm...she's been dead since she was six. Hellooooo...? Where have you been for the last 10 years? And how do you know she'd just be "another Paris Hilton"? Not all beauty pagent winners are stuck up. It's not right to assume that about someone who didn't even have a chance to live. You're delusional.

you have no idea what Jonbenet could have become- no one ever will because her life was snatched from her before she had the chance to grow up- she is in a better place......as for Paris Hilton...she will face the same judge as Jonbenet.........and you....and i....'judge less ye be judged' and keep the idiocy to yourself!

you are one insensitive prick!! who the hell are you to say something like that. obviously you never lost a child, you have no idea what the pain is like. then on top of losing a child your child is murdered. that is no pain anyone should ever have to go through!! i can't believe you could be so ignorant!!!!! people have all the right to sympathies with the parents of that little girl.
what if your daughter was murdered and somebody said why all the sympathy to you and would just blow you off.

First of all, not everybody cried for her but some people have this weird feeling sometimes....it's called sympathy! And it doesn't matter what she would have grown up to be, she was a child and deserved to live just like you and I.

Because she was so little when she died and it was a terrible death. And who knows, she could have grown up to be the one who found a cure for cancer or aids? I'm sure not every rich kid grows up to be as spoiled and useless as Paris. It was her mother pushing her into those contests. The kid probably just viewed it as playing an eleborate game of dress up! ANd went along with it to please Mom!
