Does gravity affect speed of light. Consider a light wave escaping from earth. Since gravity is a force, It should affect the light particles.
But if the speed of the light is same in space and as well as in earth,
then what is effect of gravity's pull on light (consider there are hell lot of planets and stars with high gravity)

I have heard on the news that there are about 15 mental exercises which if you practice every day, your brain never gets lazy, even if you get old. But I don't know how to learn more about these exercises. Can you help me?

The invitation has my name, but not guest with it. Because of this, just wanted to check and see what I do. I'm serious with my GF and by the wedding she will be my fiance. Is it okay to ask my friend if I can bring her with me, or should I just politely decline? I don't want to step on any toes and I want to do the right thing. Please advise.

i've been through so much with my husband in the short time we've been married (almost 2 years). my friends remember when I was so happy and bubbly and highly goal oriented. since I've been married I've endured so much heartache. my mother says she's never heard me cry so much but she never tells me to leave, she's a prayer warrior and tries to get me to stick it out until I know I'm ready to leave for sure. my friends of course see otherwise they want to pack me up with every weekend that rolls by. I usually leave an uncomfortable relationship but it's different for me now that I am married. Though he claims he wants to he never leaves either for some reason. I want to leave sometimes (i never tell him this) but I don't want to regret it. why do you think my threshold for tolerance is higher?

My aunt is making a special trip to take us out for dinner. Well my mother-in-law invited herself along and my aunt is too kind to tell her that she wanted this time alone to spend with us. My mother-in-law sees us all the time. How do you politely tell her she's not welcome?

Some of you tell me Hummers suck... others... advice Hummers...

I will need to buy 50 SUV for VIP tourism guide safaris...

I'll need a 4WD confort SUV... with every type of "amenities"!

The type of "terrain" that will be runned is like this:

http://www.darwin2k.com/chris/us/20060305_fossil_falls/proc/24_sandy_terrain-med.jpg

I need a very "high" car... and a "good looking" one...

The investors "chosen" the Hummer H3... that would cost $40,000 each... but they don't understand anything about SUVs... only about money! ;)

I'm responsible for the task of choosing some things... (not only the vehicles)... but I do not want to loose several days test driving all the vehicles there is!

I would appreciate some real help... from somebody who could think sa an CEO of a company which is going to take a Safari in the Eastern Coast Of Africa.

Sorry for all the inconvinience... and tk you all!

Have a great day!

I got a job offer for 60K/yr as a logistics analyst in south NJ (Pitman). I had been terminated 6 mos. back from my last consulting job for a tiny company after barely 2 mos, but after looking for work for a while I kinda gave up and got myself admitted into the Masters in Accounting program at UT Austin. Now after 1 month into my new program one of the companies I had interviewed 40 days back and they finally offerred me 60K for a job. I feel that if I was in a finance/ accounting to begin with I wouldnt have to wait for so long to get another job. SO what do you all think...should I continue in the accounting masters or take up the job? I have substantial scholarships for the MAcc program . On the other hand the salary is 60K. WHich would be better in the long run? PLEASE HELP AS I CANNOT MAKE UP MY MIND

Here's the details: She's my BF's sister, she has been with this guy for 8 years, he's 26 she's 36. They have a 6 month old baby, but are not married. She is physically disabled, and unable to walk, or take care of herself, let alone the baby. She has been suspicous of him and a particular mutual friend of theirs, asked him if they are involved, and he will just not answer the question. Just yesterday, he confirmed those suspicions to my BF, and says he plans to stick around with her for 2 more years, until he finishes nursing school, and does not need for her governemnt money and the nice SUV that the government paid for since she is diabled. She really has no where to go if he leaves her, and will lose her child, her independence (she will have to go to an assisted living home), and all the financials they have together in his name. So, do I tell her that he really is cheating on her, and his plan to use her for two more years, or not tell her?
