Looking in my garden it appears to be that the larger the spider is, the larger the gaps are in their webs. Is this because they cannot make webs with strands close to each other due to their size, or is it because they do not want to catch smaller prey and expend unnecessary energy?

The book was fairly thick, for teens, and was one of those "bright young career girls before marriage type". Read in the 60's, but probably from before that. Careers are up for grabs but I'm pretty sure one was stewardess, one office/typist, and the other ? I'll know it when I hear/see it. It was for young people, not adults and was written in the light style of Cherry Ames, or Vickie Barr, Flight Stewardess (but not one of those series - I have them all). Previous answer which was voted for 5 times apparently (a way to rack up points I guess) by the person who answered it (and closed out the question prematurely) was definately not correct.

the underlying point is that when windows were made of wood they incorporated hooks to support the curtain rail-now the upvc windows leave no option but to screw in a curtain support and rail separately above the window
incidentally i can see how the net curtain stretche
after two nightmare days of being turfed out of bed by poles replacing the windows i was then left with no curtains
i need the latest in curtain technology bearing in mind that the section above the windows seems to be composed of plasterboard and flakes when i try to insert a nail;who is responsible for this fiasco or have i finally become feeble minded?how much for the equipment or any other suggestions short of defenestration
i can see how the net curtain stretched between the two hooks but i am damned if i can see how the two plastic bits with the screws through them secured the curtain
my revered ancestors on both sides were builders and i have to admit that this question is beginning to seem like a wack job

Sometimes I feel like I got married too fast. I got married when I was 21, I'm 22 now. He's the only guy I'd ever been with and I know he loves me so much. I don't think that I would ever find a guy that loves me as much as he does. But I do feel like I missed out on some fun. Me ,well played cops and robbers , hide an go seek.

Went into the ditch with freinds an home made dog catcher like stiks to catch the water moccasins.

We would scrounge up money to buy one movie ticket an then id buy the ticket an go inside an open the fire exit an let everyone in !


Ride bikes around an steal the 18 wheelers metal caps for where you but the air in and take off our plastic ones an but them on the 18 wheeler an the metal ones on our bikes !


I use to play with sticks like go around an hit one stick with the other one an pretend they were like in a duel ! Until the strogest stick would prevail like my oak stick was the best !

tried digging for rocks in my backyard an filteing the dirt with a screen from the window , but didnt find anything , i found some cool rocks but only because my brother put them there so i would feel bad when i didnt find any thing .

We bought many times plastic shot guns that shot corks an we would shoot each other.
