How long after your child was born did you give him or her a name?

Had names already picked out. Didn't have to wait for the child to come.

We had names picked out in advance. Get a good baby-name book. There are a lot of them out there. I don't think waiting is the best thing to do. We liked "talking" to our second child, a daughter, when she was still "in utero." It was fun saying things like, "We can't wait for you to be born," etc. But, it is really your own decision. It's just that after the baby comes, you'll have a lot of things to do besides trying to figure out a name!

We picked our first childs name before she was born and chose our second childs name the day she was born

With my first daughter, I had her first named picked out when she was born, a day or so for her middle name. With my second daughter it took about a day.

Names are usually picked out before the child is here. Although, I named my son while they were cleaning him off.

I have heard of people waiting but I had my kids names already picked out, Anthony Joseph, Zackary Thomas,and Carrie Nicole. Eachchild a year apart.

I had both my girls named within weeks of finding out they were girls. In the case of my second, it helped get my oldest ready for a baby sister. She could already call her baby Alyssa, and I feel because of that we have had very little problems with Kacie getting used to being an older sister.

I don't have children, and I'm not even pregnant. But I already have my child's name picked out.

the minute she was born she was named... most hospitals wont let you leave with out naming your child though
