The book was fairly thick, for teens, and was one of those "bright young career girls before marriage type". Read in the 60's, but probably from before that. Careers are up for grabs but I'm pretty sure one was stewardess, one office/typist, and the other ? I'll know it when I hear/see it. It was for young people, not adults and was written in the light style of Cherry Ames, or Vickie Barr, Flight Stewardess (but not one of those series - I have them all). Previous answer which was voted for 5 times apparently (a way to rack up points I guess) by the person who answered it (and closed out the question prematurely) was definately not correct.

I read it in the sixties, about 35-40 years ago, so my memory is sketchy. I recall the cover was of a stewardess on the air stairs, and that the book was thick, with thee seperate stories, but they may or may not be from the same author. HC, with a DJ, with that distintive 50s type advertisement look to the illustration. One story was about a stweardess, one about a nurse perhaps and another about a young office "gal". Only three professions open to women then. But they were "career" girls, and the stories may have started with a group theme where they were friendsa going off to seperate careers. Not a series that I know of. Sort of a cross between vicki barr, cherry ames, and Phyllis Whitneys's one about the young girl who worked for the UN. Thanks for the help.
