You have to look at the differences, Evel Knievel was a showman, he rode a "crotch rocket" (oops gave myself away on that one didn't I?) for stunt purposes. He was NOT a biker. Now, let's be honest, The Hell's Angels were no Angels. When they originally started up they were a bunch of Vietnam vets who were treated poorly by society, these buddies formed a group and rode for the sake of riding. They chose another name originally but changed it to the Hell's Angels because it had something to do with a group of rangers or marines during the vietnam war. Anyway, there were some of them that ended up on drugs, selling drugs, etc. He called them punks probably for a number of reasons, and, some of them were. I don't know your age, but punk didn't mean then what it does now. I am a nurse and my old man is a driller on a n oil rig, we have kids, watch TV, eat out, work, we've been to Disneyland, we go to church etc. In other words we look and act normal, but, boy let us put on our Harley gear and go for a ride. We get some really interesting reactions from people who probably think we're a couple of "older punks".
