no overheating hapens on the inside but it could melt temperture sensitive parts like the screen or the touchpad, but if you absolutly have to, hide it under your seat and leave the back windows cracked, but do not try this in a bad or urban place lke the street of a city or the airport or it might get stolen (the laptop or the car)

Yes,
Keep the computer out of the sun,
maybe under the seat or on the floor.
Crack the windows down a wee bit.
Park in the shade.
Use a sun screen in the windows facing the sun.

You do not want to expose your computer to temperature extremes of either hot or cold.
