Last night I went to a BBQ and got 5 mosquito bites. How do you treat them?

I don't want to use after-bite because it just makes it worse. Is there anything that I can do or use to make them stop itching me?

Benedryl makes an antihistamine ointment that you can apply to the bite (won't hurt) and it will take care of the problem, taking a benedryl pill would help too if your not doinganything for a few hours and can sleep it off! Also caladryl is a topical med that stopds the itch and it comes in clear form now. The bendryl ointment is the best though.

You only got 5? Dang, girl, you must not live in Arkansas!!!hahah...Listen, take some Benadryl tonight at bedtime. It'll stop the itching, and as an added bonus, it'll help you sleep, too!

Or try "Preparation-H" for hemorrhoids. It stops the itching and shrinks the bite. No joke.

Next time, get some "Off" before going outside. It stinks, but, I'd rather stink a little than get eaten alive!

try using benadryl cream-it doesnt burn and should help with the itching and swelling. you can also try hydrocortisone cream-it won't burn either

you can also try taking oral benadryl tablets but take them at night or if you plan on staying home b/c they will make you drowsy. take two 25mg tablets every 6 hours as needed but no more than 6 in 24 hours.

try not to scratch them too much b/c the more you scratch the more you damage the skin layer over the bite and they will eventually start to bleed which can leave you open for infection.

Try Eurax cream. I swear by it. It's an anti-itch cream that stops the craving of scratching.

Get some Benadryl cream and only itch around the bitten area, do not touch it.

put toothpaste on them it really does help. It stops the itch and dries them out so they go away.
