Only some states have passed the law.

I absolutely believe that to be true. It has been proven, that as states approve concealed carry for non-felon civilians, violent crime has decreased. Nearly 40 states have given the OK to concealed carry. Forty states can't be wrong.

You people that answered "yes" should really check your facts before giving wrong answers.
Check the website below in the sources: The top ten states in crime rate are Arizona, South Carolina, Washington, Louisiana, Hawaii,Texas, Tennessee, Florida, New Mexico, Oregon. Of those in the top ten, Arizona, South Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, and New Mexico all have liberal concealed-carry laws. Still think it helps bring down crime? No. California's crime rate is about 33% lower than Florida's, and California has very strict gun laws. While there are some exceptions, there is *almost* a direct correlation between crime rate and concealed carry laws in US states. Do some research before spouting off.

Are you actually mental? Are you seriously suggesting that if you allowed people to carry weapons the crime rate would go down?

You are silly if you are.

If you take away the weapons the crime rate will go down. In the UK no-one is allowed to carry weapons without a lot of checks. The total deaths from gunshots last year was less than a hundred.

I haven't checked the US statistics but I'm pretty sure it's more than a hundred. . .

I thought that in many places you can carry concealed weapons. Many states have that as a law. It isn't who has the gun it the reason it is used that causes the problems. Crime rates have gone up and down for centuries, heck even when people carried their weapons right out in the open. It is the people themselves not the weapon that causes the problems.

We've been there before, and the crime rate was much higher. It is worth noting that in those states where concealed carry is permitted, the crime rate is much higher than in states that disallow concealed carry. Isn't that odd that the most repressive states see the highest level of the repressed behaviors? States where abortion is outlawed have the highest rates of abortion, and states with the highest percentage of Christians among their populace see the highest rates of divorce, alcohol and illicit drug abuse, domestic violence, child abuse by clergy and business failures. Naah , y'don't need to haul a friggin' pistoleon around in yer clothes - one dangerous weapon in there is enough, and that's the one known as a dysfunctional brain!

Yes i think it would be cause you can only get a permit to carry a consealed weapon if you are a citizen in good standing. No one who has been convicted in a crime can get an issued permit. Also you have to pass a certain amount of safety courses and a certain amount of hours before you receive it. I think it has gone down and will continue to go down as well

Crime rate have gone down. Crime rates soared in Washington DC and Austrailia after they were banned.

It was amazing to see a 20+ gang of thug with masks and pry bars, baseball batts and shovels break into a Jewelery store after the 18th month of Austrailia ban.
