I am a Christian. A born again Southern Baptist. God and Jesus are the most important factions in my life now. I was a terrible sinner for a good part of my life when I was younger. I have a very hard time forgiving myself for past sins, yet I know that God has forgiven me. Do most Christians feel this way or am I alone in this? No, I am not some religious nut who drops and prays if a dark cloud passes by overhead. I love the Lord and He has let me know that He loves me. I don't understand how some can be so callous with their beliefs as though they know and control their destiny. How can an educated person not believe there is a God? Even modern scientist are now learning that most all things recorded in the Old Testament are proven true and as time goes by, more and more are proven true. Many say the Bible reports that the world is only a few thousand years old. The Bible does not indicate that at all. There are different earth ages. A day to God may be a few million years, we don’t know. Seven days is not necessarily mean seven of our present days. There will be only a few compared to the population of the entire world who will go to Heaven. Do you want to be part of the few or do you think you’re just too smart to believe in God Almighty? Our jobs as Christians are to bring as many as possible to God so He can demonstrate His incredible love for them. Please give God a chance. Allow His Holy Spirit to fill you and you will know what many of us already know.
