For one thing the health benefits to your dog. http://www.sniksnak.com/benefits.html
Also you would not contribute to the millions of dogs that die every year because too many are born.

Go spend 5 minutes at the local Humane Society, dog pound, SPCA, etc. Then realize that there are currently no homes for all of these animals, that maybe 10% will be adopted, and the other 90% will be euthanized. That's a polite word that means they will be killed because nobody wants them.
Then go look in the classified section of your paper under "Pets", "Animals", "Dogs and cats", etc, for all the "Free Puppy" or "Free Kitten" ads. Estimate say 3 puppies or kittens per litter, multiplied by the number of ads, and then realize that there are that many more animals going to the pound in the next few weeks. And that many more going next month, and the month after, and the month after that. And that doesn't count the strays that are caught, or the people that just dump their unwanted pets on the side of the road, or in a neighborhood that looks "pet friendly", where they hope someone will take in their castoff, unwanted animal.
Now realize that what you think is "cool", could very well actually be condemning those puppies to a short, miserable life in a pound, or abandoned on the side of the road.
Is that a pretty cruel, sad picture? It's true. If you want a puppy, go pick out one at the pound. But get your dog fixed. There are plenty of unwanted pets already - don't add to the supply.

Reason one - Can you be sure that every puppy she has will have a good home for 10-15 years with Vet care & Love ?
2. That she won't have complications and die
3. Spayed animals are less likly to have cancer as they get older.
4. Getting puppies there shots & getting them wormed is exspensive.
5. do you have the money if she should need a C-Section ?
6. Puppies do not stay puppies after about two -three weeks they are all over the place using your house as a toilet.
7. Then they start chewing everthing in site.
8. You put an ad in the paper you can't be sure if you are getting a call from some one who wants to us them as a pit puppy to train their dog to be a better fighter. At the expense of your puppies life.
9. You get a call they seem realy nice & then they take the puppy to a lab who pays big bucks for healthy dogs to torture.
10. You can't find a home for it you are stuck then it is a pound pup that may or may not get a good home. Are worse is put to sleep . Does it still sound cool ?

Its good to have your dog spayed if you dont have time to take care of anywhere from 5-15 puppies, depending on what kind of dog she is. Seriously, i have puppy's right now, and i tell you, its a pain and a full time job, lol, just like a baby, so it is also nice to have your dog spayed, cause when she goes into heat, she bleeds and it can become a mess, so spaying her, you dont have to worry about that or stray males knocking her up...and then your stuck with muts. It can be healthy for her, sometimes puppies get stuck(breached) and you would have to take her to a vet(big bucks) or you can just pull it out, but puppies are risky.

If you think not having your dog spayed is a good idea then you better save your money for when the baby doggies are born and heaven for bids if something should go wrong during the delivery stages.. and lets not forget the most important reason of all..
When you find out that your momma dog is in heat and she starts to hump your head when your sleeping.. This is where that expression came from, "Sleep with one eye open dude".

The main thing is the world does not need another litter of unwanted dogs wandering the streets. Also, a female who is spayed is less likely to get cancer in the tissue around her nipples.
The old wives tale that says if a dog has a litter of pups she'll be a "better" dog is completely false.

Better due to less overpopulation. Also it's cleaner. When a female dog goes into heat, they bleed. I have an Alaskan Malamute that was spayed after her first heat. I had to walk around behind her with a mop to clean up the mess. (She stays indoors quite often). The one time she did get out, we had dogs from a few miles up the road hanging around outside the fenced in yard we have her in. It's truly best all around to spay or neuter your pet. Be responsible.

if you have not had a litter of puppy it is not all sweetness and light if you have a dog that is good enough to breed to carry on the line and other people would want go for it the main reason is that unwanted litters are a problem that can not be over emphasized. watch the movie Jurassic Park the man said "nature finds a way..." foreshadowing things that we do not want to happen. Getting back to your dog no matter how careful nature will find a way and you will have a litter of puppies

very healthy ...It cuts the risks of her being a B*tch and having breast cancer,,but also if you are dumb and let her have puppies...just imagine how many of those people that get a puppy,,want to have puppies also,,,and so on...see what i mean...
Your dog has 6 puppies..
3 people want their Dogs to have puppies,,,
Your dog could then have 20 grand children That could be homeless or abused,,, or even killed. Just stop and think about it...why put more unwanted puppies into the world??? ?? The puppies your dog has may find "good homes" but what about their pups and pups after that....you could be responsible for 100+ Dogs in shelters...Yes YOU by simply wanting your dog to be a mother,,,

Cause you can go in her all you want if she's spayed, and don't have to worry about paying childsupport for a friggin litter. Considering that you look like Sloth from the Goonies (only with less teeth and more melty candle goodness), it's probably going to be your only partner. Might as well enjoy the mileage while you can.

there is already an extreme overpopulation problem with dogs, with perfectly innocent dogs being left out on the street or worse euthanized because there isnt enough room in pounds and shelters from people not spaying and neutering their dogs. you're better off leaving your dog to be simply a companion and leave the breeding to professional breeders.
