I have had them before but this is the first one that has been dropping it's buds. The plant looks very healthy and I do water frequently...any suggestions?

Mandevillas only drop buds when they are overwatered or the temperature drops too low. If you are anywhere in the US, I don't imagine temperature is an issue. Try not watering for 5 days. After 5 days, give it a light watering, followed by a good dose of Miracle Gro or something comparable to Miracle Gro. If you are in an extreme heat area, you want to water every 3rd day. If you do not suffer from horrid heat, water every 5-6 days.

I love the mandevilla! Best of luck!

Rainbow has good advice, but I wanted to add the aphid factor. Have you closely inspected them? Aphids attack the new growth, and may be why you have no blooms.

Just a throw in...........
