I am left with a lingering question after taking a black history college course that insisted (both text and professor) that the ancient Egyptians were black Africans. Many plausible reasons were given for this hypothesis. I asked the professor, however, why the Egyptians depicted themselves in art as having (among other non-African features) quite elongated ears, while black Africans by nature have very small, round ears that are close to the head. He admitted he did not have an answer for this. I'd appreciate others' thoughts on this. Thanks.

Hi...I'm looking for my father. I have never net him. I know his name is Victor Manuel Gonzalez. He was adopted when he was a baby. He has a sister named Josie and two other daughters named Christina and Vanessa. The last I heard he was living in the New York area working at a cable company. My x left 7 weeks ago, he e-mails me ... sometimes sounds like he wants to come back.. but hasn't. My car broke down and I had to get my daughters boyfriend to take me to work. He was told I was with someone else early in the a.m. so he e-mailed me back thinking I have moved on and that I have let someone spend the night at my house. Basicly wigging out that I was with someone else.. saying He will always love me and he hopes I am happy with whoever,... but then he adds... Maybe someday our paths will cross and things will be different, never forget the good we shared. WHAT THE HECK???? Is he wanting to come back? Is he just being selfish? wanting to do his thing...but not wanting me to be with anyone? I think he thinks I will wait for him forever..and as soon as he thought I had moved on he panics? I told him if he was going to come back to do it now,..if not let me go. I really love him. I know that i shouldn't after the way he has been. What should I expect? What2do?dont want 2letgo

My children are 4 (10/01) and 3 (6/03), I am trying to teach them proper nutrition and boundries. Every single time I turn my back for even a second ( I can't even leave them alone long enough to go to the bathroom) they are in to something they shouldn't be, ie,: fruit snacks, freezie pops, trying to sneak out the front door, trying to get into the medicine cabinet, trying to play with my ipod, camcorder, camera, taking things apart, torturing the cat or dog. I feel as though it is never ending. I have tried many things. I used to think that it was just an attention isssue. But I am a stay at home mom and if they were to get any more of my attention, I would forget to breathe. It is especially hard this summer. We just put up a fence and a swing set and a sandbox and I have to fight with them to go in the back yard! They don't watch too much T.V., we spend tons of time with them. They are given healthy treats (popcicles, yogurt parfaits, fruit cups..). What can I do to improve this?

This happened last year during or honeymoon. You know all that paint friends like to decorate your car with as you whisk yourselves off into the sunset? Yeah... it got stuck on our windows. Three carwashes in a row didn't get all of it off, and being on our honeymoon we were limited. We tried plain, "new" sponges, but didn't know they were harsh. Long story kinda short, my beautiful rav4 is covered in random scratches all over. :( I've spoken with "glass experts" but they say it's hopeless. No solvents, no goo, no rub in stuff exists to help. I think they just want my $$ for replacement glass.

Please, any ideas??

Guy #1: Shy guy, doesn't talk much. Has little romantic interest in me. I wouldn't mind dating him.
Guy #2: Very outgoing, very buff. Loves to work out and is very funny. Little interest in dating at all. Every time I think of a romantic scene, I think of him in it.
Guy #3: Completely infatuated with me. Not my type.

I don't want to sound desperate. I know I'm attractive (which is different from being full of myself) Should I leap into a relationship i don't think my heart would be in, or keep trying with guys that have no interest?

I'm going to Haverford College this fall and like most/all colleges, they require you to take a placement test. If, for instance, I do well on a placement test and instead of being in Math 101, I am in Math 201. Will they give me the credit for 101? I know not everyone goes there but I am interested in how that works for the school you attend/attended as well.
