My Mother is in need of something new. If she doesn't have one her BS is too low in the morning. Thanks!

You might want to try a peanut butter and crackers or peanut butter sandwich, milk. Banana's, oranges, orange juice, pears, apricots, dryied fruits and yogurt(has lots of potassium) that will help bring the blood sugar back up to normal so it wont be to low or to high. turkey sandwich with mayo my also help. Don't each something that's going to be to heavy on your stomach especially at night time. Also if to try putting a "bit" of sugar in the orange juice it will help bring the sugar up more quickly if its really too low.

Good snacks that can be eaten anytime for a diabetic should be moderate and low in salt and sugar but satisfying to regulate blood sugar levels.

Some good suggestions for a bedtime snack, which should be relatively low in calories and not heavy, include celery and unsalted peanut butter, sugar-free gelatin, small pieces of fruit, some low salt crackers, yogurt, or cut up vegetables.

Hope that helps!

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Diabetic snack bars are a good bedtime snack. My mom has them quite often. See source links for a good link.

Also, I use any of the many 100 Calorie snacks on the market. They have regular sugar, but are a small enough amount that it helps with an overnight sugar issue if you're prone to them.

My favorite is a slice of wheat bread with about a tablespoon of regular peanut butter spread on it. Complex carb with a little bit of sugared protein. Works well for me.

Fruit, cheese and crackers, yogurt, small bowl of cereal, peanut butter on celery, I would look at her total calorie intake and find out what she has left in the eveing before bedtime and just make sure it isn't high sugar but has some protein to get her through the night.

My Mom has diabetes also and her favorite snack is a bowl of Cheerios just before bedtime. (Only if her blood sugar is on the low side.)

anything with protein is your best bet. this will help the blood sugars to stay low, because the body doesnt have to worry about dealing with sugar, and it takes the body longer to break down protein. at the hospital, we do alot of glucerna (diabetic shakes), choice DM (also diabetic shakes), string cheese, peanut butter and crackers or peanut butter toast, and milk. these are good sources of protein and wont skyrocket the sugar, will just keep it at a good baseline.
