I supervise someone failry older than I am and often feel resistance to take on new ways to work in our field. She isn't necessarily performing badly, but I am not able to more for my department because of it. Any suggestions on how to better communicate and negotiate in this situation without coming off as "agist?"

Me and my boyfriend are in a very serious relationship. We are all ready starting a family and I know we are really young but to us it just seems so right. We love eachother very much and want it to last till we're old. We have been together for a year and been friends for two. I am now 7 months preganant and him and his family have been their for me in everyway. I think we will last but I wanted to know what others might think.

Hey guys. Im a 20 year old guy and i just got my 1st credit card a couple of months ago. What interested me to get this card was that it had 0 apr until next year. So my question is if i pay the minimum or half of my credit card statement a couple of times, will it lower my credit score? Even though it is 0 apr. Thanks a lot.

someone waiting outside yelling really mean and cruel things to her everyday of every week in any town of the US. Someone told me pro-lifers can be very mean like this. This is like at planned parenthood or some facility offering these services.

My condolances to his family and all, but the guys is a crook who stole billions from Energy constituants, and investors. and broke the law to give donations to G.W. Bush. So why is it that everytime I see the news about why he died (only a week after his guilty verdict) they talk about him as a fallen nice guy?

I just answered a question by a Brit wanting to know if America had even remembered the July 7th 2005 bombings in London that killed so many people. England is bitter against Americans; the whole world hates Americans. Folks, the American people are not the ones with the authority to wage war---only our government's leaders can do that. All of us are just hardworking people who cast our votes, spin the wheel, and hope they keep the promises they made before they were elected. The governments are at war with each other. We, the people---in all countries---are just having to stand by and take all the fallout. What about a truce for the people?

Ever seen one of these nails holding tongue-and-groove floorboards together in old houses? The nails are rather blunt and crude looking compared to modern nails. They seem to be made of pure iron, rather than steel, and they often have a thin coating of rust on their surface. They are nearly impossible to extract from the floor from above, because they have no head. They are extremely rigid, but fragile. When you strike them from underneath the floor with a hammer, they produce many sparks, and often snap apart after you hit them 2 or 3 times. I'm trying to determine during what time frame people built houses using this type of "antique" nail. My feeling is that they were used as late as the 1940s. Does anyone know for sure?

42 seconds is a longer amount of time than most people would think, and missiles like this one travel at about 8 kilometers per second (yes, that fast), it sounds to me like the missile probably went quite a long way and the media and government are just playing it down. Does anyone agree?

This question can applied to everything in life. My experiences started when I was involved in Track and Field in HS. I worked hard for years, building up my endurance and speed and during a competition I easily beat most of the competitors. When I raced in the finals, there was this kid that ran 1-2 secs faster than me. It was obvious he was a natural sprinter.. I worked hard for years following that to get faster, but I never succeeded in reaching my goal...

I know you all have experiences with others who are naturally better than you at one aspect of life or another, I was wondering on your opinions and your experiences.
