I just answered a question by a Brit wanting to know if America had even remembered the July 7th 2005 bombings in London that killed so many people. England is bitter against Americans; the whole world hates Americans. Folks, the American people are not the ones with the authority to wage war---only our government's leaders can do that. All of us are just hardworking people who cast our votes, spin the wheel, and hope they keep the promises they made before they were elected. The governments are at war with each other. We, the people---in all countries---are just having to stand by and take all the fallout. What about a truce for the people?

I voted for Gore and Lieberman in 2000. They got the popular vote, but the Electoral College stole the White House and gave it to George Bush. I voted for Kerry and Edwards. Bush won that vote. I knew John Edwards from NC--I lived there over 20 years. He would have been awesome! But we got who we got. I believe even the Republicans are sorry they voted for Bush.

I'm british and my view is that the majority or americans are like the majority of brits and the majority of europeans, amongst other - good people. It's not your fault Bush is an a$$hole. He has given the american people a bad name and it is totally undeserved.

Thats the way it is.
No matter how patriotic we are, our government is an unfair, sneaky world police. We see it as fair because WE get freedom and the media hides a hell of a lot of stuff.
Other governments are like this too, but America is the world superpower so naturally everyone eyes it like crazy.
The British have no right telling us what we do and don't remember. The majority may not remember, but the majority didn't know and weren't affected by it in the firstplace.
Most Americans, the ones who are cultured and actually see whats goign on, we remember it.
9/11 happened and whats going on? Political debates and a war in a country that wasn't even part of the attack. It's time for all of the countries that were affected by terrorism and will be to stop pissing and moaning about how eachother is ignorant and join together to put a stop to terrorism as a whole.
So, I agree but I add that every country should stop fighting and do something. I don't mean that your wrong for posting this, I just think we need to find a way to make peace with eachother and eradicate terrorism.

I'm glad I voted for Bush and I could care less about people hating me. I've been to Europe and people there were kind to me. This idea that everyone hates Americans is so overplayed. You see a few loud mouths on TV screaming death to America and you leap to thinking the world hates Americans.
We are who we are and Bush kicks some major tushie so grow some back bone and get over it!!!!

I think the European countries hate us for our conservative/moral values (us=the people not the government)
The communist nations hate us for our freedom
The poorer nations hate us out of jealousy
and the Muslim nations hate us because of our Christianity
The good news,(if you don't like being hated) is that
the moral values of the US is deteriorating,
The more power and laws the Gov't has over the citizens the less "Free" we become,
the higher inflation gets the poorer we become, and
after the rapture of the church all Christians bill be taken away to be with God.
So in the end, everyone will love Americans

Please read up before posting! Your quote: "They got the popular vote, but the Electoral College stole the White House and gave it to George Bush." shows that you really don't understand how this country works. You do not have to win the popular vote to win the election. This was done on purpose! Please get past this! The Electoral College did what it was intended to do. If you don't like it, that is unfortunate, but please do not whine about it.

I do not hate you.. I do not like the foreign policy of the Sates...But it is OK , isn't it..
I have been to your country and as a matter of fact I really like the folks down there I had met... You are not stuck up as most people think..You are free and fun loving people...Hate is a strong word..I think no one should use this word towards anybody or any culture..That is what makes us prejudice...Who ever hates you really dislikes him/herself..So, do not bother about it...It shows their personality and not yours....We are all here just to try to make a living and enjoy life...
So you have a fan.....;-)

Let them make their little self gratifying jabs, they're just jealous. When it comes down to it, who do you think, Britain for instance, is going to ask for help if, just for an example, North Korea blows London to hell. It sure as hell isn't going to be France. On another note, who cares what other people think about us? By and large, people are ignorant, egotistical, and just suck in general (be they american, iraqi, french, or what have you), and once you realize this, you'll find that you really don't give a flying **** what they think.

I have to agree with Merlin with the addition of this.
Not everyone voted for the fiend and if you look at both elections there was a scandal with the votes he and his cronies have manipulated them to get him in and keep him in office so he could finish his daddys agenda.

Such a noble idea, Wabbit. I think I remember, 'once upon a time', being as young as you. But that was a lot of yesterdays ago, and I think it was actually 'once upon a dream'. Ahhhhh, dreams fade and naive ideas are lost in new realities. I am sorry for that. Good Luck, Wabbit !
