my daughter is 13 mos. old and she is getting down to one nap a day. sometimes she sleeps once in the a.m., but only for 30 - 45 mins. Mostly, her afternoon nap (around 2pm) can go for 45 mins. to 3 hours. I try to keep her on a schedule though... real important to keeping the peace.

My daughter is 5 1/2 months old. She goes to bed at night around 9:30 and sleeps until about 6:30. She takes a nap around 9 in the morning usually for about an hour. She generally naps again between noon and one, for about 30-45 minutes and another nap around 4 pm for about 45 min-1 hour. On occassion, her naps will last for an hour and a half, and sometimes she will take an extra nap. It seems to depend on her activity level for the day.

If the baby is sleeping through the night naps are fine. If you want to sleep at night keep the baby up more during the day. I think 3 short naps would be fine for newborns sleeping all night. If your child is older then maybe 2. If your child is 4 or older like mine he only naps by accident.

My 14 month old son takes 1 nap that lasts 2 to 3 hours in mid day. Then goes to bed at 8 pm.

My daughter(2-1/2) usually takes a 2 hour nap.

My 7 month old naps three times a day (am, afternoon, early evening) for about 45-50 minutes each.

my son takes 2 naps. one short one in the morning and a longer one in the afternoon. he is 9 months old.

my 1 yr old takes one long nap..if im lucky a couple small cat naps..and goes to bed by about 8-9PM

Andrew takes about 1long nap and then he takes 2 cat naps...then at 8pm its bed time...lol
