Charlotte is great. Good schools, it's exploding job wise, good professional sports teams, close to the "scenic Smoky Mountains".Look up The Charlotte Observer on the web...they have a good spread. Charlotte has all four seasons, and they're all mild.

I live in Cary which is in the Raleigh area and I really love it. Been here about a year. Lived in Wilmington for about 14 years. The beaches are great but Wilmington is getting too crowded and has a large traffic problem. The weather is mild. It does get cold in winter sometimes but not as bad as up north. Didn't get any snow this year. We have alot of great universities around here too. Can read the newspaper at www.newsobserver.com If moving to the coast can look up the newspaper on search engine. The paper there is the Star News. Hope this helps

you should look on craigslist for housing, then make sure you either get renters insurance or huracaine + flood insurance. At this time of year a lot of insurance co's won't extend those types of coverages. Been there a few x, and I love it.
