If you are gay, how have you been discriminated against in the past... if at all?

Not too long ago, my partner were denied renting a house because we were gay.

At first, the owners thought I was single and accepted my rental application. After they found out about my partner (I mean... like 2 hours after I introduced him), they called and told me they were sorry, but "... had rented the house to someone else."

"It's is really more of a family-oriented neighborhood, anyway," they mentioned before hanging up the telephone.

We have since found another house, and I never reported this, but has anyone else had problems like this? This was the first time that I had been discriminated against... this bad, anyway.

Has anyone else encountered this? Anything similar?

"Upon my brow a cold settles. I see myself as in a dream, apart from reality. I look into the wells of knowledge and see impending doom. Am I who I am, is salvation here? My heart is away from the rhythm of my pulse, do I live?"

Is he/she insane, dead, a spectator of pain, brokenhearted, etc.? Give your opinion.

I hear the original artist, while my husband hears himself. I was intrigued, so I thought I would ask everyone.

I'm trying to rebuild my credit and received an offer from Aspen's Mastercard (issued by First Bank & Trust, Brookings, SD). They state it's unsecured. The initial credit limit is $300, but you need to send in a $20 payment before activation. After the annual fees are subtracted, I remember the paper saying that there is a $141 credit. There's also a monthly charge, if I remember correctly.

I threw out all of the paperwork (out of habit, I guess) but kept one page that doesn't have much information other than the web address (www.aspenyes.com) and my invitation code.

I know it's not a scam or anything, but I wonder if anyone has any opinions on this. Would this be better than shelling out $300 or $500 for a secured credit card? Are there other offers like this one out there, that people with under average income qualify for?

Thanks everyone! :D

Here's the scenario: One spouse makes it perfectly clear that viewing any kind of pornography in a marraige is unacceptable. The couple's sex life is normal or above normal and the deceptive spouse does it anyway and spends an enormous amount of money on the stuff and puts a lot of effort into lying about it and hiding it and then blames the other person (not enough sex) when they get caught. The offended spouse feels hurt and betrayed and quite disgusted every time the offending spouse does this. Every time the guilty spouse does it, he says he won't do it again. The lies hurt more and more than the actual act of viewing the porn. Is this considered addiction? Do any of you view this as a sort of infidelity or cheating? I am at a crossroads and I can't take it anymore. My spouse hasn't done this in months (so he says) and I think my scars are too deep to regain any trust. This is an elaboration from my previous question. Any advice will be welcome.
