Many days recently, there have been those claiming to be "original" members of famous groups from the 50's/60's era.

I was wondering if bands who are "impostors", would have to play a different tune if legislation set for hearings in several states across America would be finally passed and become law.

Such as in the case of THE DRIFTERS, THE COASTERS, THE PLATTERS, THE MARVELETTES, JUNIOR WALKER'S ALL-STARS, THE SHIRELLES, THE DUPREES and even DANNY & THE JUNIORS at times have had others claiming to be who they never were.

When will the United States Trademark Office, finally wake up and start issuing the rights to a well-known tradename to those who were "original" and not to any of the "impostors" often without any ligitimate connection ever so to the real thing?

I had a first date on Friday.

We met at a popular diner and immediately had good rapport. We joined her friends and went dancing afterwards.

After closing time, I asked if she wanted go to a coffeehouse.

She politely said she was exhausted after a hard week and all of the partying we had done that night-she was calling it a night. This was fine with me, it was a great first meeting. I asked her where her car was which turned out to be a completely different direction from mine. This felt like a proper punctuation to the night. I thanked everyone for a great night, I gave her a hug and a kiss and went on my way.

Here's my question-she was with her friends who were walking her to her car. I felt this was a good punctuation to the night. Was I wrong-did I still need to walk with this group and drop her off to her car and walk all the way back to mine? Was this a faux pas or just car retrieval logic?

Was it not Jesus who preached to "go into thy closet to pray and thy father shall reward the openly--but do not praise and give in the streets as the hipocrites do" (Matthew 4-ish)?

Didn't Jesus NOT want people to be zealotous in public?

I read a prophetical statement about a companion to prophet Muhammed who was married to a woman and one night his wife was chatting with him and she opposed prophet Muhammed. The man tried to stop her but she did not stop, then he KILLED her. The next morning he told the story to prophet Muhammed and prophet Muhammed praised him for what he had done and told him that the woman desrved to be KILLED.

The above statement was narrated by Abu Dawood [3795] and also by Nisai'ee. That statement was a vital source used by Ibn taimia to justify that anyone who opposed prophet Muhammed should be killed.

My question is:
Should someone be killed JUST for opposing prophet Muhammed? especially that it was a private conversation with her husband.

Also, did that man produce any evidence to support what he'd said? does not this give a licence for anyone to kill his wife and pretend that she opposed prophet Muhammed?

For example, one trait exhibited by legitimate news organizations is that when they print or read out "letters to the editor," they do not only select letters that agree with their take on things or praise them. They select both complimentary and critical letters. Moreover, when they do select critical letters, they do not reply with sarcasm, ad hominem attacks, a counter attack, or by rolling their eyes. In fact, they usually do not reply at all. They just let the readers or listeners decide for themselves whether the criticism is valid or not.

What are some other examples of traits the differentiate legitimate professional news organizations from news organizations run by spin doctors? Does taking a certain political position automatically render a news organization invalid, or is it how they express their position and how they react to those with a different position that renders them biased and hence illegitmate?
