Television in the USA presents American society as being immoral, godless, greedy, gluttonous, lacking family values, corrupt, disrespectful, self-centered, news-less on global issues, lacking culture, etc., etc.
The same Americans who elected George W Bush, and the same Americans who profess Christianity as the basis of their society, are the same Americans who own more than 2 televisions and are watching programs like the two you mentioned, plus Springer, reality shows, garbage.
American tv is commercialized, so Americans are PAYING for this programming by supporting the sponsors.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeesh ! I used to enjoy just chillin', eating popcorn and watching All in the Family. If I use those same standards, it does not appear that there ARE any American families left. It appears that 'televisions' are the 'mothers and fathers' of the household in the USA.

Comedy has changed in the past 20 years. It used to be self-deprecating where people made themselves the butt of jokes in a harmless way in the name of laughter. Now people have made it a matter of effort to demean people at the other person's expense. Hopefully someone will turn this around.

A lot of people think these shows are a bit sick but I love toilet humour. If those guys wanna seriously damage themselves and puke on each other for fun, I'll laugh......but then again I laugh at myself when I fart,....draw your own conclusion

Funny right up to the point that some kid kills themselves skateboarding of a building. After that well obvious really.

not big and certainly not clever,, but the fact that they make loads of cash from arsing around is pure genius and def' gets my vote as the most inventive format for a show in a long time ,

Personally I think we are teaching our youth bad things with shows like that. Really I do not think it is funny either.
