i no longer hurt from the relationships, instead i learn from them.

everybody gets hurt, thats just another part of love and life. you need to learn to let go and detach yourself from your emotions. try doing something new or take a trip somewhere.

i know it's a cliche, but all it really takes is time!

First, make sure you have "closure". Most of the time when someone breaks up with us they just leave, they don't want to talk about it, they don't want to tell you why. So, you're left with a lot of questions and unresolved feelings. Try writing a letter to them. Pour all of your feelings into the letter, both the good and the bad. Get out everything you wish you could say to that person. If you're doing it well you will probably cry like crazy & that's ok. After it's done just throw it away, or put it somewhere like in a scrap book. Trust me it helps you to move on. Second, accept that it's over, even if you don't want it to be. Accept that you can't control everything and that even if you can't see it now, it was not meant to be. Third, get yourself a hobby, get out there and meet people. You never know when the person you ARE meant to be with will show up, see your smile, and fall in love.

Not to be the bearer of bad tidings, but 8 months is not long enough for the pain to go away completely. I'm sure it's less than it was, but it STILL hurts, and will for a while yet. Mine has been over for years and it still hurts, but it's easier now that it has ever been. I tWILL get better....I PROMISE!....in time.

Be thankful that you have a heart to hurt. So many people cant do that. They go around hurting others and dont care. Having a heart that can be hurt means you are human. Time sweety is the only answer.

it's really hard to get over a relationship sometimes ecspeically if it is a long time relationship. the way i got over mine was find something i am interested in and make it my hobby. i know there will be those songs on the radio and movies yall may have watched but you have to think about why you guys broke up it had to be for a good reason. so all you have to do is stick with it and hold on everything will workout. just console in your friends and ask them for advice but if you feel going through by yourself is good for you go for it

Took me a year before I could even listen to certain songs that reminded me of him. And even over four years later, I don't go a week without thinking of him. All you can do is get by one day at a time.

Understand that it is gone and that you must now move on. Find someone or something else that you are passionate about and take that on. You will eventually (maybe not get over it) find a new love.

Do you still see the person? Usually that makes it harder. Get out and have fun, don't just sit around and sulk. Eventually, you will wonder why you couldn't let go of the person.
