Im planning to pierce my own ears but a lot of people are saying that its going to get infected. Is it really that important? Many of my freinds pierced their own ears and nothing bad happened to them.

I'm in my early 30s and feel I don't have any super close friends from college or grad school like a lot of other people do. I do have some close friends from high school, but they're spread out all over the country, so I never really see them. I interact with only a small group of people at work, so that doesn't seem promising either. How do you make close friends later in life? Do I have to join a lot of activities or something? Get a dog?

I put my question in this catagory because it fit no where else that I know of, plus there are various different people looking on here.

My whole life I have been the outcast, but its good in a way because I am unique and creative. But being alone is terrible. Do you know what I mean. When your interests are so out there that only a handful of people dig them, it makes one alone. Im not whining, its just something i wonder other people feel here?

Not wanting to pay for an exterminator to visit, so a D-I-Y solution would be best. Have tried leaving apple cider vinegar in a bowl (and a jar with a holed lid) on the counter, but not one little bugger has taken the bait. HELP!

I live in pennsylvania, where recently, a giant flood swept though my town destroying trees, roads, bridges and houses all around me. My house was ok because it was on higher ground.

After the water levels lowered, I went down to a neighborhood where as far as my eyes could see, there were people taking all there ruined belongings out of there homes and throwing them into dumpsters along side the road. I wanted to help those people, but I didn't know any of them and thought it might be weird to offer it. Was it wrong for me to ride my bike through town just to view all of the destruction?

Hello, I am in Orlando, Florida at this moment.
I've driven for more than 16 hours to get here from Virginia
I am kinda tired of driving... I'd like to use another transportation or so...
As you know... it's kinda hard to find a flight ticket because of the Fourth of July... also... I can't abandon my car =(

So my plan is ... to take a ship with my car on the ship
and sail to Virginia or.... near states... like North Carolina or Maryland whatever...
