The internet provides a way for people to be whoever or whatever they want. Most like the idea of ambiguity, and many are just not comfortable putting thier faces out there, without knowing at least a little something about the people they interact with.

Hey i do. I know most of the people on here are between 13-19 so mostly they don't use their own computer or are embarrased about asking a question. One or the other.

And I agree with MastaP, a lot of people are very very young so if they want to act or be a certain age, they can fake it through their pictures....
