Alcohol is much worse than sugar to a diabetic. Since you have diabetic diasthesis you MUST stop drinking and you MUST start eating healthy. If you don't you will develop full blown diabetes in a few short years. That will dramatically decrease your lifespan and really screw with your health. It will then become very difficult to maintain a normal healthy lifestyle and avoid, umm, croaking at an early age.
But, it's relatively easy to do now if you follow certain reasonable restrictions. One of those restrictions is no alcohol. None...ever again. The problem is not the sugar. It's the alcohol. This is very difficult to explain in greater detail without a background in organic chemistry. Just trust me on this.
Eat healthy.....or else, is what it boils down to.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

i'm a diabetic and i drink socially. i drink low carb drinks including tequila, whiskey, rum, vodka, etc. beer is loaded with carbs but you should drink the light beers that are out there. and, honey, you may think you're "borderline" but that is just a nice way of saying that you have diabetes but it just hasn't caused high blood sugar yet. you need to get on the ball and start eating and living healthy.

High blood levels of glucose can cause several problems, including frequent urination, excessive thirst, hunger, fatigue, weight loss, and blurry vision. However, because type 2 diabetes develops slowly, some people with high blood sugar experience no symptoms at all. How to treat diabetes naturally https://tr.im/VSmAq
Symptoms of type 1 diabetes:
Increased thirst
Increased urination
Weight loss in spite of increased appetite
Fatigue
Nausea
Vomiting
Patients with type 1 diabetes usually develop symptoms over a short period of time, and the condition is often diagnosed in an emergency setting.
Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:
Increased thirst
Increased urination
Increased appetite
Fatigue
Blurred vision
Slow-healing infections
Impotence in men
If you think you have diabetes i think you should have a checkup and speak with your doctor just in case.

The problem with drinking alcohol when you are diabetic is not the sugar already in the drink as the sugar that is created in your bloodstream as the alcohol is converted by your body into sugar.
I would not advise that you drink much if any alcohol until you have had a chance to discuss your case specifically with a doctor.

I was pre-diabetic a few years ago. Drinking too much pushed me over the edge... now I'm full blown type II. Don't drink at all.
