For me, it's the De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park. I can't even look at it without wincing. Sometimes it looks like Babe, Paul Bunyan's blue ox, dropped a gigantic twisted dropping on Golden Gate Park.

My husband will be working in Richmond. I need to know which town would be safest and easiest to get to BART. I have teenagers, so I need a town that isn't so remote that there is nothing to do. Any suggestions? I heard Richmond has a high crime rate.

I was recently on a trip to the East Bay and North LA. I am from Oregon. Californians never say hello to passing hikers or walkers. and service in stores and restaurants in surly at best. You don't have to be like hippie friendly, but come on. Was I just going to the wrong places or are they all really like that?

I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they elected Schwarzenegger. It is kind of funny though to hear in political ads "Governor Schwarzenegger."

I don't hate Californians either. I just think they are less friendly than Oregonians.

I am traveling to San Francisco for a few days and have always been fascinated with bike messengers/couriers. I want to know the best place to see them in action. Any help would be a start.

We're going on a 2 day vacation maybe tomorrow but I'm not sure. We're finding a good hotel (cheap but still looks like a good hotel) that allows pets. Three people are going on the vacation (2 children, one adult) so that's one room with 2 beds maybe. But, we can also have 1 bed (so 2 people cna sleep on it) and maybe one sofa (so another can sleep on it) and it should be near these zip codes:
-94105
-94102
-94121
-94123
-94115
So maybe the zipcode 94120. Also, of course, I'm finding a hotel too. And if you find a hotel, can you please give the website which INCLUDES the price, infomation, and pictures? Thanks.

I'm considering a career move from Raleigh, NC to the Oakland area. I'm 42 with wife & two children (10 & 4). Good schools are a must. Of course I'd like to minimize my commute and housing expense, but I pretty sure those are going to be painful.

Suggestions?

We have decided to go to San Fransisco for our honeymoon, but I can't find any reasonably priced (under $1200 for four nights)Romance or Honeymoon packages. Any ideas? Or even just 3-star hotels with large suite rooms? I spent all stinking day online looking for the best deal, but I really don't want to spend that much!!! Thank you!

I am going to San Francisco in two weeks. I was planning on making a stop in Gilroy. Is it worth it? Is there anything good there besides the Garlic Festival that is ending this weekend?
