I'll be working in the Hayward/Pleasanton area of California for a few months. I won't have my NFL Network with me. I haven't missed a Redskins game in years either on TV or in person. Any idea where I could watch the games this winter? I would prefer a Redskins friendly bar, but am willing to take anything.

I'm 22 years old and I'm moving to San Francisco with my friend, we're looking for advice as to where to live, which neighborhoods are the best for younger people? Which are the safest? Near bars, shopping? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My friend and I are interested in taking a road trip next summer to San Francisco from Tacoma, Washington (where we live). We know this is a long drive and she will be 17 and I will be 16 at the time. It's possible our last summer together as she will be a senior the following year and will be preoccupied with college the following summer. Do you think this is safe? We would stay on I-5 the whole way and I have a friend who manages a hotel near SF so that would be our ultimate destination. Also, how long would it take to drive to San Fran from Tacoma? Since its about 8 to Ashland, Oregon, I was thinking 16 hours?

I'm trying to plan a trip to San Francisco with my family in November. Anyone have any tips on affordable accomodations and interesting things to do with a 9 year old and an 11 year old (both boys) that don't cost a ton of money?

I am going to San Fran in two days. Please tell me how to do this trip via public transportation. I will be coming from the SFO airport area so I imagine I should take the BART.

Here's my agenda:

Pier 43 1/2 to take the Golden Gate Bay Cruise (1 hour cruise)
Pier 47 on Al Scoma Way to eat lunch at Scoma's Restaurant
Pier 39 to get to Fisherman's Wharf

back to the SFO airport

I believe I will take the BART out of SFO unless I can take the bus. Time is not of the essence as I have all day to do any of this. Thanks in advance!

I am visiting a friend there in a couple weeks and want to know what's recommended and what to skip! Should I do Alcatraz, Muir Woods, Fisherman's Wharf, etc? What do you recommend? What should I stay away from? I'm a fun-loving girl who's open minded for anything cool!

I've never been but back in the 90's I used to hear some pretty wild stories about that place. :)

Does it drive anyone else crazy when tourists and non-natives refer to the city as "FRISCO"!

From the air I noticed large masses of what appeared to be wet land masses... orange, maroon, olive green, and gray. They almost looked like bodies of water they were so shiny. These were fit together like a large jigsaw puzzle, each piece easily being what appeared to be 50 acres or more. It appeared that little rivers flowed and made strange patterns in each... no two were alike.
