Hole in the Wall - Great music.
However, though my version of "slummin' it" might be different from others, my favorite spot in San Francisco is Tre Fratelli .....
2801 Leavenworth at Hyde street courtyard level
The Cannery @ Del Monte Square, Fishermans Wharf
The evening atmosphere is outstanding ...... olive trees, outdoor fireplaces, brick archways ...... it's beautiful. The food and the night life are also fantastic. When you're finished eating, visiting, whatever, stop in at The Green Room Comedy Club. It's next door (actually connected to the restaurant).
When I'm slummin' it in San Francisco, or when I just want to really have a great evening with friends, it's Tre Fratelli. See ya there sometime!
