Does it drive anyone else crazy when tourists and non-natives refer to the city as "FRISCO"!

Yes--and the distaste for the slang expression was further perpetuated when Herb Caen (famed SF Chronical columnist--a native of Sacramento,btw) wrote a book titled "Don't Call it Frisco" in 1953.

I'm a 6th generation San Franciscan.

Yeah, it sounds too phoney.

SF, the City, San Francisco are all OK. Most everything else sounds bad.

It's OK, they are just trying to be cool and it shows they like San Francisco, so come on tourists, we love you back!

It doesn't bother me. It's no worse a moniker than "La-La Land", "Philly", or "The Big Apple"...
