Go to Montery and check out their Aquarium. Also go to Bodego bay and hunt for clams! Then there are the redwoods, the worlds biggest trees just up the coast a few miles. Reno is a hours flight away. Angels camp has Wineries on the western slopes of the Sierras. Sacramento, the capital of California is close by as is Sutters Mill, the first place Gold was discovered in Northern California. Check out the Embarkadero downtown, or just the Bay bridge park.

Three of the best things about the San Francisco Bay Area are:
1. The beautiful views and climate;
2. The wine industry;
3. The food/restaurant industry, because of the wealth of fresh produce in the area.
Why not combine all three with a food/wine pairing tasting event in some location with a spectacular view? If you have the budget for it, some of the most beautiful old historic mansions in Pacific Heights, with huge elegant terraces overlooking the Bay, rent out for private parties. And any of the upper league of local caterers or event planners can help you connect with restaurants and vineyards for the food/wine tasting.

I have coordinated trips to Napa Valley, which included tours of several wineries and a lunch. Also there is the Napa Valley Wine train for lunch or dinner
Groups also enjoy SF Giants baseball games, as well as trips to the Monterey Coast and the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium
Let's not forget a group "city tour" of SF, including Alcatraz, Golden gate Bridge and Lombard Street (crooked street)
Dinner at the famous Tadich grill in downtown SF is not to be missed. Also, the Clift house is a great place for food and drink

Ideas:
You can plan events at any of these places:
- Great America
- Bay Meadows
- Knotsberry (sp?) Farm
- Giants/A's/Sharks game (Sharks have a corporate patio on the upper level)
- Hiller Aviation Museum
- SF City Hall
- Tech Museum
- SF Zoo
- Treasure Island

Geez, there are a million of them - it really depends on the time of day.
If I had to pick only one, I would pick taking the ferry from SF to Sausalito and back during a lunch hour. It's very cheap, bring your own lunch or get sandwiches on board. On Fridays they used to have live jazz music as well. This is something that will accommodate even a large group.
Other suggestions:
* Any other open-air music or concerts - I think Oakland does these, too
* Go-kart racing (redwood city, other places)
* Dim Sum or Sushi lunch
* Walking tours - there are literally dozens of them for every interest
