We're going on a 2 day vacation maybe tomorrow but I'm not sure. We're finding a good hotel (cheap but still looks like a good hotel) that allows pets. Three people are going on the vacation (2 children, one adult) so that's one room with 2 beds maybe. But, we can also have 1 bed (so 2 people cna sleep on it) and maybe one sofa (so another can sleep on it) and it should be near these zip codes:

We stayed at the Hotel Del Sol when we went. Great location, clean, reasonable price and extremely nice people working there. It's in the Marina District 94123 zip code.
It's definitely a kid friendly place and I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a couple of pets there, but you can send an email from the website to make sure. I had to ask a question before we went and they answered the webmail very quickly.

The Drake used to be an excellent hotel, but not cheap. It's close to China Town. Have you tried searching on http://www.hotels.com? I've found good results with it.
San Francisco is the kind of town where you can find accommodations of about any kind you can imagine, from flop houses to Five-Star Hotels. You'll just have to search for one that fits your needs and budget. I don't know that hotels allow pets in rooms. You'll need a motel that might do that. Sometimes they have a kennel available.
