It's a beautiful city, lots of great people, so live and let live and don't worry about it that I saw 15 people riding down Market Street naked and hardly anyone batted an eye. It's got lots of great neighborhoods, lot's of great food, lot's of people on the streets.
Yes it is expensive, yes there are homeless people There are 800,000 people in a 49 sq. mile area, you see lots every kind of person, except Republicans :-) I'ts crowded and noisy, and the rent is high. The other comments about the people, I can't speak too. There's a saying though "If you don't have a good time in San Francisco it your fault."
It's special because, I can't wait to get home when I travel elsewhere. My heart starts to race flying over the Sierras on the way back. I had a physical reaction to the place the first time I visited, and moved here a year and a half later. That was 10 years ago, and I still love it, I love looking at it, I love being here and hey if it falls into the ocean I will have spent the last 10 years of my life the happiest I've ever been.

Its just like everyother city, I don't like san francisco myself but theres a lot to do. I lived near SF my whole life but hate go into the city because of traffic. But there alot of nice places to go and visit. There is public transportation to get you anywhere you want to go. There is a mall right near SFSU, and there are many great places to go for night life. SF is so big and there is something for everyone. I love going down the coast to santa cruz or half moon bay where i got married. California is beautiful, ther is homeless people in every city

I moved from the east coast to SF and I love it here. The weather is nice, (personally I don't like hot humid or extremely cold snowy weather, so I think it is great in SF), it is pretty much cool year-round. Fogginess depends on where you live.
It's a big city with plenty of choice for night life. The population is diverse. If you are planning to live in the city, public transportation is easy. Depends on where you live, you may not even need a car.

San Francisco is like any other large city as far as the traffic, rent, and pollution goes. But I think its beautifukl. There is such a neat mixture of people and cultures. Your right on the water. the city is stunning, and there is always something to do. I take bart to get around and rent is going to be high wherever you go

San Francisco does not in basic terms pass an mind-blowing form of substantial regulations for itself, even though it is likewise the main liberal and democratic city in united states of america. that's why its so diverse. Your success in residing there for a at an identical time as is depended on the form you sense approximately liberalism as against conservatism.

The weather, the hills, the bay, the bridges, trolley cars, oldest china town in the US. Lots of diverse places to eat. The culture is really a mix of cultures. Many plants grow there, makes it pretty most of the year.

It has really great night life, really cool people. But also an enormous homeless population within the city, tends to have very very nasty areas. Have to learn where NOT to go and it's fine.

Hate to tell you this, but Frisco sucks!! It has endless gridlock and traffic, zillions of homeless people, CRAPPY weather almost year round, insanely expensive rent, no parking, overcrowded, etc. It's as bad as LA...but at least LA has nice weather. On the plus side, there is decent nightlife and a pretty good punk scene still going on there...not much else going for it though.
