I am going to San Francisco in two weeks. I was planning on making a stop in Gilroy. Is it worth it? Is there anything good there besides the Garlic Festival that is ending this weekend?

I hear Bonfante Gardens (an amusment park) is great for smaller children. Gilroy does have a pretty good outlet mall.
Casa de Fruita is not in Gilroy.
Other than that, there is NOTHING in Gilroy.
It's only about 45 min to 1 hour to San Francisco, why not just keep going?

Gilroy has shopping outlets (http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=23) and Bonfante Gardens (www.bonfantegardens.com)

Gilroy has major outlet malls, if you are into that sort of thing.

Yeah go to Casa De Fruita or just drive to San Jose
