My husband and I live in the SF Bay Area and are planning to drive to Lake Tahoe on Friday the 22nd to spend Christmas there. We are trying to figure out whether the traffic will be terrible or not - do you think everyone will leave right after work on Friday or will the traffic be more spread out? We've never spent Christmas in Tahoe so we're not sure how busy it is.

We are arriving at SF Airport and spending a couple days in SF, then off to Napa. I hear having a car in SF is a nuisance, so wondreing what is the best mode of transportation to SF from the airport? Also, Would renting a car as we leave SF be better than from the airport?

Where are some good places to eat or drink in San Francisco where a female on her own won't get bothered or hassled? I'm here staying with a friend and would like to go out into the city during the day while he's at work, and unfortunately as he's male he's not much use when it comes to answering this question!

Also can you recommend some stores that sell off-beat things but that aren't too expensive?

Thanks!

We're looking for somewhere to stay for our honeymoon for under $200/night. Any recommendations? Any nice places within walking distance of the tasting rooms in downtown Napa? (or are we going to get a nicer place for the price in a different area?)

We're from LA so we're really going up there for the wine tasting.

Obviously the Haight-Ashbury area has changed a great deal since the late 60's and early 70's. I was just wondering if anyone has ever been there recently and knows whether it is nice or run down, etc.

I'm looking for parking for a Saturday night show (~9pm to ~1am?) at "The Bottom of the Hill" nightclub in San Francisco.

I'd like to find parking that's:
(a) safe;
(b) cheap; and
(c) close.

While parking that meets all three of these criteria would be nice, I'm most willing to sacrifice CHEAP for parking that is SAFE and CLOSE.

Thanks for reading!

I always hear the stereotype that San Francisco is almost all gay. Of course I don’t really believe it is all gay. I just want to know if there is any truth to this stereotype.

My gf and I are heading to SF for vacation over xmas. We are staying in a hotel on Geary close to Union Square. We are on a budget so we would appreciate any cheap dining suggestions or any tips on saving money during our stay. We will be in town for a week. I love mexican and seafood; my gf is vegetarian.
