Word of advise about taking hwy 1 to LA from SF. You are in for a really long drive timewise. It is not a rather good road most of time and has been know to have mudslides etc. during winter and spring rain times.

Great places to site see in clude Monterey, Santa Cruz, Big Sur, San Luis Obispo, sand dunes just south of Pismo Beach, Santa Barbara Malibu, Venice. I am partial to the Central Coast , having gone to College there.

have a great trip.

human beings are very pleasant in San Francisco, and the bay area has a effective experience to it (relies upon in case you'll stay contained in the innercity or no longer...) l. a. is actual rather far-off...about 6-7 hours.

I took the trip in Sept 1984 and had the time of my life. I still remember it to be one of my very best vacations. I highly recommend it.
