I'm going to be driving from NH/MA to Oregon this summer and am wondering what's the most scenic route. I've heard driving the Oregon Trail is a good way. Does anyone have any info or know where I could find some? Thanks.

I'm 23yrs old and planning on moving out to Oregon within a few months but I'm not sure what area would suit me best. I'm looking for a scenic area that has good whether - I don't mind cool whether and a little rain, but nothing too cold/hot or with too much rain. I'd also like an area that isn't too over populated but still allows me to bike to my job (which I'll look for once I have a place in mind). I'm introverted so I'm not concerned with parties or bars, bur rather I prefer good food, music, books, sports, and small company. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I hear it's very affordable, and there isn't much need for a car. Very bike friendly and so on. I'm also curious know if it's a city that's spread out (L.A. or Atlanta) or concentrated (Manhattan).
I'm thinking about moving out there, but I'm not a wealty guy. I have a truck but I live in Atlanta and I'm tried of traffic, gas prices, and smog. Any info would be great! Thanks.

We might be moving to OR and are looking on line for some single family homes. Our taste is traditional/cape cod in a very community oriented area to raise kids. My spouse is flying out to meet a realtor, what areas should he ask to see that meet these criteria? THANKS

What are some of the best neighborhoods that have single family housing (Cape Cod style/Traditional)? We are looking for a community that would be best for raising a family.

I know that people ask this question but I need some help. We are planning to move to Oregon within the next few months. My husband is an attorney and we need to live near a bigger city, Ie Eugene, Bend, Portland, etc. However I have always wanted to live in a small town since I moved to Las Vegas 15 years ago. Where is the best place to live? Not too pricy. I want a place where I can raise my family and have the green of Oregon and the stability of a job (my husbands) I am a teacher but I am aware of the school situation in Oregon. Where should we look at? Please help! Thanks!

what the city feels like, how large is the population, weather, anything and everything that would give an image of what it would be like to live there. Pros and cons, etc.

I read:
Eugene, OR, violent crime, on a scale from 1 (low crime) to 10, is 5. Violent crime is composed of four offenses: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. The US average is 3.

Eugene, OR, property crime, on a scale from 1 (low) to 10, is 7. Property crime includes the offenses of burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. The object of the theft-type offenses is the taking of money or property, but there is no force or threat of force against the victims. The US average is 3.
