I live in Philly, and have been to New York many times. I have never been there during the holiday season. So I really don't need to do the tradional things like the empire state building, statue of liberty etc. I am taking my 11 year old son and 13 year old daughter. I am divorced so I won't being bring my now ex-wife. We will probably take the ferry over from Staton Island.

It is going to be a day trip this Saturday.

I have on my list:

Rockefeller Center
Pokemon Center
Toys R Us Times Square
FAO Schwartz
Saint Patricks Cathedral.

Is there anything else that would be really good to see?

I am going to pick up a present for a couple of people, but I already have my Xmas shopping about 90% done so it is really not a shopping trip.

I would like to take a long driving trip as a vacation. It doesnt have to be cross country, but it should take several day and eventually loop me back to my hometown of Cleveland.

How do you plan the routes that you will take? It would be boring to just take I-90 for 1,500 miles. How do you figure out the back roads you want to take?

How do you know what type of stuff is out there to see as a tourist?

How do you ensure that you get a hotel room, and how do you get cheap ones?

Is there anything that people dont usually think of that you have come across from experience?

Is it a bad idea to try to bring my dog with me?

Thanks!

Details are all over the internet. The entry of this new mode of transportation to the Hawaiian Islands was quite rocky. Many have interpreted the actions of those behind HSf as belligerent and acting without respect to the life of the land or the law of these islands. EIS first is important, no doubt, the Hawaii Supreme Court ruled. Instead of honoring that ruling, HSf pushed up inaugural launch by 2 days with $5- fares. No free will abuse here. Invasive species, risks to whales, overloaded island with traffic and more drugs. Get pono or get lost. Help save Kauai!

We're moving to Seattle (thinking of the West Seattle neighborhood), and we're looking for a neighborhood for my inlaws. They're interested in something nearby West Seattle that is more "rural" where they can get some property (~5 acres) and be within a 20 minute drive to us. Any suggestions?

Hello, I'm from Los Angeles and I'm visiting New York City this weekend.

There is supposed to be a big storm on Sunday. I was wondering how bad you think this is going to be, and what I should expect. Also, what should I bring?

THANKS!

Hey guys,

I need to get to 10 East 40th Street. Is it walking distance from Penn Station?

Is there a line to get a cab outside of Penn Station on the 7th Ave side? I remember seeing a ton of cabs there last time I went.

Thanks!

I have been told by a lot of my friends that when they went to NYC that there was a lot of people selling fake purses. i want to know where they supposedly sell them at, i have heard china town, i have heard that they have actual stores that you can go in and they will make them in front of you just for you. here in Florida we have little places called flea markets, and that is where they sell them here. is that what what china town is like? and where is the best places to look for replica bags?

I've lived in this city all my life and I've seen a lot of what it has to offer. But for the next 5 days or so, I am entirely without obligations - I've got the days off of work, my wife and son are in Chicago. All I have to do is feed our pets.

I've seen a lot of what LA has to offer, and a lot of stuff that you wouldn't normally think is cool. But I seriously doubt I've exhausted the possibilities of this ginormous city. So... what else? What should I go see the next few days? Where should I eat? What, I ask you, ought I to do with myself?
