Hello, I'm from Los Angeles and I'm visiting New York City this weekend.

There is supposed to be a big storm on Sunday. I was wondering how bad you think this is going to be, and what I should expect. Also, what should I bring?

THANKS!

They're expecting a Nor'Easter storm Saturday night into Sunday noonish. It's similar to the ice storm that's pretty much paralyzed the midwest for the last few days, but we're expecting snow.

How bad could it be? A couple of feet of snow. Expect to freeze your butt off and not get anywhere fast. Bring warm clothes and waterproof boots.

The city is expected to receive about 1-3 inches of snow, which will eventually will turn to ice. My advice, as a native, bring plenty of warm clothes and a pair of waterproof boot. Once in New York, dress in layers and watch the weather report in local TV.

One other thing, expect heavy delays at the airport.

It is already 6 inches here. As LGA and JFK usually have awful delays with the snow it will be worse I recommend taking with you toothbrush, contact solution and a change of underwear 'cause you'll be stranded with your bags five states away. Bring warm clothes - don't wear shoes with high hills. And when you get here go to Central Park it will be such a nice walk to take. Good luck with the travel!

lots of snowwww sat and sun. bring 12 pairs of clothes and wear them all at once. consider you will be doing a ton of walking around in the city and its going to be ice and slush it kinda sucks.
