I'm travelling to Texas in April for about a month and am wondering what it will be like for a 19 year old male from central london.
I'm staying at a university campus so i wonder if the girls are into Englishmen...?
I hear its quite conservative and i'm not entirely sure if thats a good thing. Will I get a culture shock?
And whats the weather like? I mean hot, obviously, but too hot to wear jeans??
Oh, and how should I take spending money? Cash? Travellers cheques? Or can i take money out using an ATM with my British card?
Thanks x

There are 4 of us planning on riding our motorcycles from Daytona Beach to Anchorage, Alaska. We have our schedule down and will do the trip in 40 days. We wonder if any of you have made the trip along the Alcan Highway and if you have any favorite restaurants and motels that you would like to recommend.

I'm heading up to the Taste of Chicago this year while I'm visiting my sister and nephew and I wanted to hear other peoples feedback of what the best things are to do, where to stay, how the food and vendors are, etc... Is it really worth all the hype??? My sister said she had a great time last year, but others say, it was just average... Thoughts or experiences anyone? Thanks!

There doesn't seem to be any major airports near Ft. Wayne so it seems really expensive and time consuming to get there via flying and having to rent a car.

In your opinion which is better? I want to go to somewhere for my bday in July and the 120 degrees in Vegas is starting to turn me off, I'm a summer baby but I hate hot weather. I've heard all the great things about Vegas but how is Atlantic City? Is it full of old fogies or will 30-somethings have a good time there too?

We will be driving from Four Corners National Monument to Goulding's Lodge in Monument Valley. We are looking for a recommended route. MapQuest recommends 160W to 191N to 163S, at 103 miles and 1:49. Gouldings Lodge recommends 160W to 163N, estimated at 2 hours. Looks like there is also a route to go 160NE to 41NW to 162NW to 163SW.

On the way to Four Corners, we will have already come from the intersection of 160 and 163, so taking the Goulding directions would take use back along the route we we already on. It would be fun to take a different route, but we do not want to drive too far out of our way.

Thanks for the help.
