Been there and Live there.

Alaska is not as remote as people think.

Anchorage our largest city is very metropolitan, yet maintains the Last Frontier flavor.

Fairbanks, the second largest city is much the same only it is very much on the Last Frontier.

Keep in mind, Alaska is more than twice the size of Texas, and has 5 different geographic regions; each being very unique.

Yes,
I live in Alaska,,,And out of all the places I have lived in my life(35 years) it is the most populated State I have lived in.
I live 40 miles from Anchorage,,,In Wasilla. They say the Valley I live in has approximately 80,000 people.
Anchorage has approx.270,0000. and they also have all the crime drugs and problems that come along with a big city.
