There are tons of things to do in Sprigfield. You can visit Abe Lincoln's home, his tomb, his museum and library, plus there are many nice resturants to eat at. You can also visit this website http://www.visit-springfieldillinois.com/.

The Abraham Lincoln history center opened recently and is quite good. You can also visit his home.
We visited the old capitol building which has a free tour about 30 minutes long.
Near the cemetery that Lincoln is buried in is a small museum dedicated to funeral practices. It is quite unique.
There is an Italian restaurant that is supposed to be very good, names Saputo's. But the day we tried to get it, right at the time the doors opened, they didn't have a table available for 3 hours. Call the day ahead for reservations. Tel 217-544-2523.

Of course there is! You can visit Abraham Lincoln's house. You can visit the Capital too. There is also a museum right around there, but I don't know the name of it.
