Because I'm a New Yorker, but I plan on moving to CA and working in Los Angeles, but I hate the idea of it. Any of my friends/family who have lived there say that the city started to get to them because everyone's shallow, and vacant (stereotype, i know, but i hear its a stereotype for a reason---because its true, haha)

So, are there any costal cities near by, that are better suited for a NY gal like me? San Diego might be too far-----I hear its about a two hour drive, depending on traffic.

I love stuff like the Blair Witch thingy, but would like to find a place that is truly haunted where I might get a chance to experience something that will scare the hell outta me and a couple of friends. Kinda new at this but do have some "ghost hunting" tools as well to take with me. I just want an experience that will last a lifetime.....I live in the western NY area in the States.....anyplace around or are there any places that are haunted where I could pay to stay?Kinda excited after watching VH1's Celebrity Paranormal Project....kinda freaky but I want to do it.....

I am looking to move somewhere where it is not overcrowded and the cost of living is not skyrocketing. I prefer a small to medium size town. (I've had enough of all these New Yorkers!) good neighborhood, good schools, good paying jobs... I am just sick of New York.... I'm turning 19 in January and I currently live with boyfriend... I am breaking up with boyfriend and going to start a new life ALONE.... any suggestions.... I just quit my job... would like to move within the next 6 months to a beautiful inexpenisve area... can anyone give me some suggestions or states or somewhere where there is a MUCH LOWER CRIME RATE.. AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING.. and GOOD PAYING JOBS at least! I don't like the cold so moving somewhere where there is cold is not good. I am anemic so moving to the cold won't do it for me... someplace that is warm all year round would be good.

Is this a good place to live? What are the good/better parts - closer to Ft. Jackson or closer to Lake Murray?

Or could you just pay cash instead? I know that alot of hotels want you to pay with a credit card cause if anything happens to the room you'll charged for it. but is it required to pay with a credit card for all hotels?

Tomorrow I'm driving to Bangor Maine, following 295-95 into Bangor. I'd like to see 'something' while I am in Maine but I'm at a loss as to what to catch that won't be too far off my path. Any attractions that you can recommend?

This is a very serious question. I can't figure out why my parents won't let us live in Uganda or the Phillipines. Sure, maybe some people like to ski, but do you really think sagebrush and scragly bushes in hard dirt make for a pretty landscape? Please, tell me why you'd ever want to live in Utah! Perhaps then I can understand my parents better and come up with a more persuasive argument to go to Greece.

I would like to take my children somewhere we could get a hotel room and have a park with snow so they could play and enjoy it without the high cost of tourist stuff. Any suggestions within driving distance of Northen Florida would be welcome.

We are travelling from GA to Williamsburg, VA in a couple of days and every site I've been on gives directions for major highways. Are there any sites that give you directions using back roads? I've already tried mapquest, yahoo, and rand mcnally.
