We will be staying at the Shades of Green Resort at Disney World but this property is not serviced by Disney's Magical Express.

What is the cheapest way to get from the airport to the Shades of Green for a group of 7 people?

My guidebook refers to the crossroads at Disney World as a location for fast food, but it is not shown on my map. Is this actually on the Disney property and if so can you get there by Disney transportation.

We will be in Disneyworld Florida from around 6th January - 14th January and I need to know if it will be very busy. Last time we went to Disneyland, we were there just after Christmas until 3rd of January. We found lots of kids around so the rides had long waits. I am hoping this time, they will be back at school so we can move around quickly. Can anyone help and tell me if Florida will be at school around the 6th January ?

I'm going to Florida and I'm not too sure about Disney World. Is it that good? Is Florida that good in general? It seems commercial and cheap but I'm only hitching along with someone else so I don't have much choice.

I am visiting WDW in December and my mother has slight mobility issues. We are considering renting a wheelchair for her while there to help preserve some of her energy so she can enjoy herself.

Has anyone navigated WDW with a wheelchair? Any tips?

She will not have to be in it all the time, she can walk with a cane, she will be able to stand in line or shop without it, but for long term moving around the park it will help.

Any experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated.

I am planning on going to see a concert at Hard Rock Live alone at night and will be w/o a car because I'm flying to Orlando for this. Is it worth the extra money to stay onsite for safety purposes and not have to get a cab afterwards? I know this hotel is pretty expensive, and I'm not rich or anything. Also, anyone know how close the hotel actually is to the concert venue there? Thanks!

Just wondering the logistics of traveling with a double stroller on the various transportation systems. Do they make you fold it up on all of them? (Buses, boats, monorail, tram etc) Please only answer if you have personal experience with this. Thanks!

Remember what orlando was like back in the early 90's?? 20,000 leagues, king kong, hanna barbara, hitchcock, wild west stunt show.......What other rides were there that arnt there now? what was where the MIB ride is?

'91 was the first time I went, It was also the BEST. Ive been at least 10 since and still love it to bits.

HOWEVER.....

I seem to remember ALL the parks staying open till midnight every night & getting good value for money.
All the shops were 'proper' souvenier/memorabilia shops

NOW, the parks seem to close as early as 7 and every other shop is a restaurant? anyone else noticed this or is it just me? Most souvenier shops are just clones of each other too?

I have no problem with Universal and Disney wanting to "keep with the time" (i.e creating new rides such as 'the mummy' or 'everest') but I dont think they should close down classics such as BTTF or King Kong?

they should give some rides a lick of paint here & there and maybe update a few things

I am thinking about planning a trip to Florida, but I am not sure I want to go to Disney World. It costs a lot of money, and there are so many different parks. I am wondering if just picking 1 or 2 parks would be better than trying to do it all. I really would like to go to Sea World too! Any advice?
